「己を探し、世界を越えて――。一人の求道者は、いかにして真理の境地に至るのか」。演出・白井晃、作・長田育恵、音楽・三宅純という気鋭のクリエイター陣が挑む本作は、ヘルマン・ヘッセの不朽の名作を舞台に昇華し、多くの観客を魅了しました。主演を務めるのは、探求と迷いを抱えながらも悟りに至る青年シッダールタを体現する草彅剛。彼を中心に、シッダールタの生涯の友・ゴーヴィンダに杉野遥亮、愛と喜びを教えるカマラーに瀧内公美、さらに鈴木仁、中沢元紀ら豪華キャストが結集し、言葉、音楽、身体表現が重なり合う舞台空間に、古代インドの神秘と人間の内面世界を立ち上げました。哲学と演劇が共鳴するこの舞台は、観る者一人ひとりの内面へと問いを投げかける“存在の旅”そのものです。

Directed by Akira Shirai, written by Ikue Osada, with music by Jun Miyake, this production brings Hermann Hesse’s timeless novel to the stage and has moved audiences deeply.

Tsuyoshi Kusanagi stars as Siddhartha, a young man torn between doubt and desire, on his path toward enlightenment.
Joined by Haruki Sugino as Govinda, Kumi Takiuchi as Kamala, and a strong supporting cast including Jin Suzuki and Motoki Nakazawa, the stage evokes both the mystery of ancient India and the inner struggles of the human heart.
Where philosophy meets theatre, Siddhartha becomes a journey that asks each of us who we truly are.
